WINTER 2016
This was an integrated design studio with students from other disciplinaries within the university, participating in a studio environment to participate in the design phase and completion of the project. The topic for this studio is to re-design the current Stone34 building at Fremont, Seattle and rebuilt it as a multi-purpose CLT (Cross Laminated Timber) structure. Our group decided to focus on community space, improving the sustainability of the building during and after construction, and showcasing the beauty of CLT and Timber inside and out of the building.
Communication is very important in this studio and I am in charge of communicating between the different disciplinaries, participating in all meetings; structural engineering, cost management, sustainability, and design.
